Book Review News

I have the most lovely book chosen for today's book review. It is a favorite of the short set, parents think it's totally cute, and teachers adore it. However...

...it's not ready yet. See, I was supposed to type it all up today. That's the plan every Friday: type up Book Review and Author Spotlight. (I am a plannin' kinda gal.)

But did it happen today? No.

Why? Well, see, the plan was to head on down to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia for the weekend, but the forecast is calling for rain and thunderstorms all day Saturday, so we scrapped that plan at the last minute (11PM last night) and made other plans.

Those other plans involved getting the kiddos in free to a special indoor event tomorrow IF they wear their Halloween costumes. Great! Except I wasn't finished making Lovely Girl's costume. (The plan was to finish it up next week - on Tuesday and Thursday, to be specific.)

So, my Friday went like this: after hauling said kiddos to the dentist at 7AM (yes, you read that right), then running them to school just before the late bell rang (whew!), I hadda scrap my Wii Fit workout and my Book Review and my Author Spotlight all so I could save twenty-four dollars admission (and so Lovely Girl could look incredibly cute in her awesome red and black and silver pirate costume).

OK, so long story short... (What? Oh, well, so it's not such a short story. It's fun, isn't it?) Anyway, Lovely Girl will have all the boys staring her way tomorrow as she channels her inner pirate chick, Handsome Boy will be in his galaxy-saving glory with lightsaber in hand, I'll save 24 bucks, and we'll all have a fun, fun (and dry) Saturday. Unfortunately, that new plan left me unable to get my Book Review done for today.

So, the schedule is to get that Book Review posted no later than Sunday midnight. Yeah. I scheduled it, because now, I am a schedulin' kinda gal (since we all know how well my plans are workin' out lately...)
